BFC vs JFC Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:
Jamshedpur FC will end their 2018-19 Indian Super League journey with a home game against the table-toppers Bengaluru FC at JRD Tata Sports Complex, in Jamshedpur, India, on Saturday evening (IST).
Jamshedpur FC:
The failure to qualify for the playoffs will be seen as a big opportunity missed by Cesar Ferrando and his men when the game against Bengaluru FC comes to its culmination tomorrow in Jamshedpur.
The Men of Steel made a good start to the season, winning the opening game 0-2 away against Mumbai City FC. The next four ended in draws, followed by a big 4-1 home win against FC Goa, and a 2-2 draw vs Delhi Dynamos.
The team lost its unbeaten status in Pune, losing 1-2 at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex. In the subsequent five games, Jamshedpur won two and drew three times and remained one of the favorites for the top-4.
However, the team lost form and the momentum at the worst possible time, losing twice in a span of four games. While the 0-0 draw in the last game against Chennaiyin FC proved to be in the final nail in the coffin and effectively ended their top-4 aspirations.
Jamshedpur finished 5th last season and it cost Steve Coppell his job. In that regard, Cesar Ferrando’s future is far from certain and it’s a possibility that we may see him for the last time pulling the strings for Men of Steel against Bengaluru FC.
Bengaluru FC:
For the second staright season, Bengaluru FC have the chance to finish the regular season at the top of the table. But this time they would be hoping to cross the last hurdle and win the ultimate prize.
The last match was a real shootout to decide who would finish the season as a leader between FC Goa and Bengaluru FC. Well, the first half proceedings indicated a tough evening for Bengaluru as not only it ended in a 0-0 draw but the last season’s beaten finalists were a man down after Nishu Kumar was shown a straight red card just before the half-time.
But the hosts upped the ante after the break and caught the visitors bare-footed and off-guard. Three goals in the space of 19 minutes punished a reckless and complacent FC Goa and the Blues usurped the Gaurs from the top of the table.
