• South Korea head coach Paulo Bento named a 25-man squad for the games against Australia and Iran.

• The country’s biggest football star Son Heung-Min is in the squad. Though, due to his involvement in the Champions League final, the Tottenham playmaker may start on the bench.
• South Korea does boast a talented roster with most of their players playing in some top leagues in the world.
• Gamba Osaka Centre-back Kim Young-Gwon and forward Hwang Ui-jo will bring quality to the squad, and we expect both of them to start here.
• Other notable players in the squad are Hwang Hee-chan ( Red Bull Salzburg ), Hwang In-beom ( Vancouver White Caps ) Lee, Lee Jae-sung ( Holstein Kiel).

• In Kim Tae-hwan (Ulsan Hyundai) and Son Jun-ho (Jeonbuk Hyundai), we have two first-timers in South Korea squad.
• Lee Jeong-hyeop has made to the national team as well for the first time in two years, and no doubt will be looking for a chance to shine.
• Midfielder Jung Woo-young, who plays for Al Sadd in Qatar, misses out due to an injury.

Possible ins or outs of this game:

• Kim Tae-hwan‘s form for Ulsan Hyundai means he is a viable option at right-back. However, Kim Moon-hwan, who started South Korea’s last game at this position is in the squad as well and will be pushing to hold onto his place.
• If Son Heung-min doesn’t start, expect the manager to name Lee Jeong-hyeop as a striker here. In that case, Lee and Hwang Ui-jo will be tasked with the burden of scoring goals.
• Kim Moon-hwan and Kim Tae-hwan are options to fill in for injured Jung Woo-young in the playing 11.

Australia:

• Australia Head coach Graham Arnold has gone full domestic for his next squad. He has selected as many as 11 players from the A-League, while six players are set to earn their first international call-up.
• But first, the big name players who missed out on the trip to South Korea are perhaps the biggest known stars in Australian football fraternity at the moment.

• Mark Milligan, who captained the side in the Asian Cup, Brighton & Hove Albion keeper Matt Ryan, Huddersfield midfielder Aaron Mooy, Hertha midfielder Mathew Leckie and PSV Eindhoven defender Trent Sainsbury have all been spared the trip after European club campaigns, made more difficult by the mid-season Asian Cup.
• In terms of first-timers, Lawrence Thomas, Brandon O’Neill, Ryan Williams, Harry Souttar and Brandon Borrello will be looking to make their debut here.
• Former Liverpool left-back Brad Smith – on loan at Seattle Sounders from Bournemouth – is back in Australian color for the first time since October 2017

Possible ins or outs of this game:

• Aziz Behich, Bailey Wright and Matthew Spiranovic are the most experienced players in the squad.
• Thomas deng and Rhyan Grant are both good options for the right-back position.
• Aziz Behich is the likely player to start out on the left side of the defense.
