Deportivo Alaves will be aiming to end their four-game winless streak when they host a struggling Athletic Bilbao at Mendizorroza Stadium, in Vitoria-Gasteiz in La Liga, tomorrow on Monday night (IST).

The Monday night football will see Alaves playing host to Athletic Bilbao and a chance for them to kill the current streak which is starting to reveal the weakness in the team.

For Athletic Bilbao, the season couldn’t have been more scaringly haunting than it is right now. For a club of that size which is always seen as a powerhouse and big enough to break into the top 6 or top 4 on a regular basis, a relegation right is the last battleground.

But the Basque giants had to take a big decision and sacked manager Eduardo Berizzo just eight months into the job, bringing in the “exorcist” Gaizka Garitano as their new custodian.

And the start couldn’t have been more dramatic and beautiful, something which looked out of some poetic script, as veteran striker beat Girona 1-0 last weekend in Garitano’s first game as the manager of this club. While for Aduriz this was the first goal of this La Liga season which he scored from the penalty spot.

The win was huge for Bilbao as they moved to 18th in the table, level on points with another fallen giant Villarreal who are sitting outside the relegation zone only on goal difference.

Alaves have some good attacking players while Bilbao also boasts some technically gifted players.

Not many changes here. However, we have changed our striker with Calleri replacing Sobrino.

INDIA FANTASY PREDICTION:
This will be a lively encounter as it has a derby tempo and both the teams need to win the match at any cost. But Alaves are on the rise, from at least since last season and they won the last fixture as well, beating Bilbao 3-1 in May.
