ARS vs MUN Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:
Two familiar foes will collide in the world’s oldest cup competition when Arsenal welcome Manchester United in the FA Cup at Emirates Stadium, in London, on Friday night (IST).
Arsenal:
Unai Emery didn’t hold anything back when he talked about the importance of the Chelsea clash last weekend. The former PSG boss was quite clear in his judgement that anything other than a win for his team would leave his team chasing shadows in the race for the Champions League places.
He wasn’t let down either by his team as the Gunners ran Chelsea ragged and effectively won the match 2-0 to move within three points of Blues in the Premier League table.
The season is still long, and a lot can happen between now and at the end of the season. Arsenal can still achieve a lot, having qualified for the knockout phase of the Europa League, and now the FA Cup gives Emery another shot at the big trophy. And there is no need to mention how big this achievement would be if Gunners finish the season in the top-4.
But everything depends on the consistency level of his team, something Emery highlighted after Chelsea win and urged his team to keep playing at that level. Only time will tell though.
Manchester United:
If Manchester United’s performance under Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunna Solskjaer could have been judged on a scale of 10, it would be interesting how much they would get these days. It has been some improvement in the last one month or so, and at the moment United are certainly climbing onto the territories which not long ago seemed unfathomable.
But what is true is that nobody, not even in their wildest dreams, could have envisaged a sheer change in United’s fortunes after Mourinho was shown the exit door soon after that horrendous display at Anfield.
The change has been so phenomenal and rapid that out of nowhere, the Red Devils are firmly back in the race for the top-4. In fact, only three points separate them and fourth-placed Chelsea as things stand in the Premier League.
FA Cup, different pressure!
But the pressure here in this match will be unique and a bit different than what Premier League offers. First, it’s the FA Cup, the world’s oldest football cup competition, famous for producing some giant shocks, and second, it’s Arsenal vs Manchester United, one of the most played fixtures in this competition. In fact, it will be the 15th time that both these teams will be facing each other in FA. Neither side can gloat about their record as both the sides have knocked each other out seven times heading into this game.

ARS vs MUN Dream11 TEAM NEWS: Injuries and Suspensions
Arsenal vs Manchester United Team News:
Arsenal:
Injured –Â Spanish Left-back Hector Bellerin made his first start for Arsenal in nearly two months at the weekend against Chelsea. However, he had to be taken off after 72 minutes, with the reports suggesting that he may be done for the season with a knee injury.
Rob Holding and Denny Welbeck are other players who will be missing the match with injuries.
Suspended – None.
Questionable –Â Few players will be put through a late fitness test and their involvement remains questionable. Henrikh Mkhitaryan (foot), Konstantinos Mavropanos (groin), Emile Smith Rowe (groin) all are carrying knocks and will be assessed ahead of the match.
Note: Left-back is now an issue for Unai Emery. There’s no like-for-like replacement for Bellerin but few players have been shoehorned by the former PSG manager already this season. Sead Kolasinac is an option but he looks uncomfortable, while Stephan Lichtsteiner and Ainsley Maitland-Niles are other players who can step-up.
Key Players –Â Aubameyang, Lacazette
Manchester United:
Injured –Â Marouane Fellaini (calf), centre-back Chris Smalling (foot) and defender Marcos Rojo (knock) all have been ruled out of this match with their respective injuries.
Suspended – None.
Questionable – While Marcos Rashford (knee) and Luke Shaw (illness) are doubtful.
Note:
Key Players – Lukaku, Martial
