ARS vs MUN Dream11 Match Preview, Team News, Lineups
Manchester United and Arsenal renew their rivalry in the Premier League as the once two super big teams of English football bring the curtain down on match-week seven at Old Trafford.
Manchester City burst onto the scenes as a proper power only a decade ago, while Liverpool’s powers were waning when the top-tier of English football was renamed to Premier League in 1992. And Tottenham were never a concern bigger than the 90 minutes for Wenger in the 90s and 2000s.
It’s this fixture, which put the English domestic football on the world map. Such was the competitive level of both the teams that there was blood and fight, on and off the pitch, whenever Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger’s men came against each other.
But the time is a fickle thing. Everything, good or bad, eventually comes to an end. The fortunes of both the teams may have changed drastically in the last decade or so, but this game remains English football’s one of the most marquee fixtures.

Manchester United Team News:
Eric Bailly, Diogo Dalot, Angel Gomez and Timothy Fosu-Mensah all remain on the sidelines for Red Devils.
Big guns could miss the game!
Paul Pogba picked up an ankle injury in Manchester United’s shootout win over Rochdale in the Carabao Cup in midweek. The Frenchman is a doubt for the clash.
There were reports in the media this week that Anthony Martial could be ready to play against Arsenal. But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer failed to provide any update on Martial’s situation before this game. The ex-Monaco forward is recovering from a thigh problem.
Marcus Rashford is another big player who could miss the game for United. The 21-year-old forward suffered a groin injury during United’s 0-2 loss at West Ham last week.
Some positive news for Manchester United:
Luka Shaw was back in training this week following a complete recovery from a hamstring injury he suffered against Crystal Palace in August.
Likely changes for the hosts:
If Shaw is fit, he will start at left-back ahead of Ashely Young, with summer signing Aaron Wan-Bissake taking care of the right side of the defense. Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof will partner in the central defense.
While Rashford’s unavailability could open the door for Mason Greenwood here. The 17-year-old Englishman has been in fine form of late. He scored in the last two games for Red Devils.
Jesse Lingard may get a recall to the starting 11. The 27-year-old has had a dip in the form this season, but if both Pogba and Martial fail to recover, Ole may give him another chance.
Marcos Rojo is an option for left-back.
Manchester United Probable XI:
David de Gea (GK), Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Marcos Rojo, Scott McTominay, Paul Pogba, Andreas Pereira, Jesse Lingard, Daniel James, Mason Greenwood
Arsenal FC Team News:
Super forward Alexandre Lacazette is nearing a return but he will most probably be available for Arsenal’s next game. The former Lyon striker is joined by Emile Smith Rowe (concussion) on the sideline.
Finally, the injury list is shortening at Arsenal:
Arsenal’s summer signing Kieran Tierney has been sharpening his match fitness with the Under-23s for some time. But the 22-year-old got the taste of real action in an Arsenal shirt for the first time when Unai Emery named him in his playing 11 for the Carabao clash against Nottingham Forest.
So the former Celtic star should be fine to start the match at Old Trafford.
Rob Holding and Hector Bellerin also featured for the first time this season, in the Carabao Cup game in midweek. However, expect the duo to be on the bench for this game.
Arsenal Probable XI:
Bernd Leno (GK), Sead Kolasinac, David Luiz, Sokratis, Callum Chambers ‘ Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Lucas Torreira, Granit Xhaka, Matteo Guendouzi, Dani Ceballos, Nicolas Pepe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Likely to score:
- For Manchester United: Mason Greenwood, Jesse Lingard, Daniel James
- For Arsenal: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Nicolas Pepe
Captain and Vice-Captain Selection:
It will be updated on the India Fantasy Premium website!
Suggested combination:
ARS vs MUN Dream11 potential winner:
Arsenal showed last week they have more fight in them than what their position show on the table. Against an injury-hit Manchester United team, Unai Emery should go full monty at Old Trafford.
We back the Gunners to get something out of this match.
