Sunil Chhetri equals Messi’s record as India beat Kenya in Intercontinental Cup

India outclassed Kenya at the Mumbai Sports Arena on Sunday to clinch the Intercontinental Cup.
India’s talismanic player Sunil Chhetri scored a brace to help his side beat Kenya by 2-0 and he equalled Lionel Messi’s record of 64 International goals.
Chhetri gave India the lead in the eight minute before scoring the second goal in the 29th minute to equal Messi’s score.
Chhetri who was playing his 102nd International match is now only behind Cristiano Ronaldo who has scored 81 goals from 150 matches.
Chhetri and Messi currently rank 21st in the all-time list of goal scorers and the Indian is just one goal below former Chelsea and Ivory Coast stalwart Didier Drogba.
