The former South Africa captain Faf Du Plessis and leg-spinner Imran Tahir was not chosen to play for the national team in the T20 World Cup 2021. Faf took the retirement from the tests to focus on T20s, while Tahir retired after 2019 World Cup and had an aim of performing well in T20 World Cup. But, both the players have not been included, which is a little shock as they are busy playing in the CPL 2021 and will feature in the IPL 2021 Phase 2 as well.
