The Mumbai Indians are still searching for their first victory in the ongoing T20 season as the five-time champions have witnessed a horrendous campaign so far where they have suffered as many as 8 back-to-back defeats.

After winning the toss and opting to bowl first, Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma gave the big news that they have made a couple of changes to their playing 11. The duo of Jaydev Unadkat and Dewald Brevis have been replaced by Kumar Kartikeya and Tim David respectively for the today IPL match against Rajasthan Royals. Both of them are tactical changes as Unadkat and Brevis were not contributing well in the last few games.

Dewald Brevis had delivered a couple of impressive performance in his debut IPL season for the Mumbai Indians. The South African batsman famously called “Baby AB” played a blistering knock of 49 runs off just 25 deliveries that included 4 back-to-back sixes in a single over against Punjab Kings.

“We would like to bowl first. What we have seen over the course of the tournament, it suits us. We like to chase. We have a couple of changes. Tim David and Kumar Kartikeya come in for Brevis and Unadkat. Preparation has been good, most of it has been done before the tournament. Hopefully we have some fun in the middle, that’s what we have been missing. We want to try and see how we enjoy ourselves. It’s important to stick together as a group,” said Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma during the toss.

Mumbai Indians have also handed a debut to left-arm spinner Kumar Kartikeya who was recently drafted into the squad as a replacement for the injured Arshad Khan.
