Rohit Sharma says the team is looking forward to play the arch rivals
India’s stand-in captain Rohit Sharma said that it is always exciting to play against Pakistan and the team is looking forward for this match.
Rohit Sharma was speaking at a press conference after arriving in UAE. Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed also spoke during the conference.
India will play their first match in the Asia cup on 18th of September against Hong Kong but the team has already arrived in the country.

Rohit noted that Pakistan is a great nation and they have been playing good cricket, off late. But at the same time, the India captain reminded everyone there are other teams here as well who are eyeing for the title.
Rohit also added that the games played in the Asia Cup will be quite competitive and the focus should be on the whole tournament as everyone is here for the title.

Rohit admits UAE climate not pleasent
During the conference, Rohit was asked about the climate in UAE. The Indian captain admitted that the climate in UAE is not pleasant and this is why the team arrived early so that they can get accustomed to the conditions.
Sarfaraz Ahmed considers Asia Cup a big opportunity
The Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed also spoke with the media and he said he considers the tournament as a big opportunity for all the participating teams. Talking about his team’s game-plan the wicket-keeper batsman said that hey would be taking one game at a time.
The much-anticipated India vs Pakistan match will be played at Dubai on September 19. This is the first time the two teams will face each other after the encounter in the finals of Champions Trophy. In that one-side match, Pakistan had thrashed India to clinch the title.
