Ravindra Jadeja in IPL Career and Performance
Ravindra Jadeja was the member of India’s U-19 World Cup winning squad in 2008 under Virat Kohli. Shortly after that triumph, he was roped in by Rajasthan Royals for a Three-year contract. His talent was there for everyone to see in the first edition itself and Rajasthan Captain Shane Warne gave a nickname of ‘Rockstar’ to him. But he was banned for one season by IPL in 2010 on account of him negotiating with other franchises and not signing the contract with RR in 2010.
After missing 2010 season, Ravindra Jadeja was back again in 2011. This time though with a brand new team, Kochi Tuskers Kerala. But after a solitary season, the team was dissolved and he was back in the auction again. Chennai Super Kings picked him that year in order to utilize his skills on slow and low tracks of Chepauk. For a couple of seasons in 2016 & 2017 when CSK were banned from IPL, he was with his home team of Gujarat Lions.

FAQs
Which team is Ravindra Jadeja in IPL 2021?
As mentioned earlier, Ravindra Jadeja is playing for Chennai Super Kings in the 2021 edition of Indian Premier League. After a couple of match-winning performances in the first half, he would be looking to continue the magic in UAE. He was signed by CSK in 2018 at a price of INR 7 Cr. With the mega auction looming in 2021, he is in contention of retention with one of the most successful franchises in the cash-rich league. It will be interesting to see how Chennai Super Kings team management goes about retentions next year with plenty of options to choose from the current squad.
How many wickets taken by Ravindra Jadeja in IPL 2021?
In the 7 matches played by Ravindra Jadeja so far in IPL 2021, he has 6 scalps. His performances with the bat in the first half were exemplary to say the least. With the second half now moving to UAE, the role of this left-arm orthodox will become even more important for CSK. With the amount of Cricket that is being held in the Emirates, pitches are bound to get tired at some point. Left-arm spinners have an advantage over Right-handed batsmen with the ball turning away from them predominantly and natural variations also come into play a lot more.
Will Ravindra Jadeja be bowling for CSK?
Yes, Ravindra Jadeja will be bowling for his team Chennai Super Kings once the IPL resumes. As mentioned earlier, his bowling will be critical to CSK’s chances now with limited availability of the overseas stars. If Chennai Super Kings are to win their fourth title this year, Ravindra Jadeja would have to deliver the goods with his left-arm spin as well. He made his comeback from the injury in the first half of the season in India and looked limited in his bowling. But he would be roaring to go full tilt in the remainder of IPL 2021 no doubt.
