Salary of Development Umpires

Development Umpires receive a basic salary of ₹59,000. This is also an increase from the previous season where they received ₹40,000 as their basic salary. Development Umpires do not receive any daily allowance as they are not expected to officiate in every match of the IPL. However, they do receive training and mentoring from Elite Panel umpires to improve their skills and prepare them for future promotions.

Sponsorship for IPL Umpires

In addition to their salaries, IPL umpires also receive sponsorships from various companies. For instance, in the 14th season of the IPL, Paytm was the official sponsor of umpires.
