MS Dhoni bat price: Mahendra Singh Dhoni, former captain of the Indian cricket team, will always be remembered for leading India to its second ODI World Cup title after a 28-year wait. On 2nd April 2011, India defeated Sri Lanka by six wickets to win the coveted trophy, and with that victory, Dhoni and his team became immortal. The bat featured Reebok’s label and was auctioned shortly after the World Cup. R K Global Shares & Securities Ltd (India) acquired it during the MS Dhoni ‘East meets West’ charity dinner on July 18, and the money raised from the auction was used for the development of the Sakshi Foundation, which is the charity of MS Dhoni’s wife Sakshi.

MS Dhoni bat price: A Guinness World Record
The bat created a Guinness World Record, which remains unbroken to this day. The Guinness World Records website has an official entry about MS Dhoni’s bat, stating that “The most expensive cricket bat was Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s bat sold at auction for £100,000 ($161,295), bought by R K Global Shares & Securities Ltd (India), at the M.S Dhoni’s ‘East Meets West’ Charity Dinner, in London, UK, on 18 July 2011. The bat was used by Mahendra Singh Dhoni in World Cup 2011 finals on 2 April 2011 at Wankhede Stadium to hit the winning shot.”
Dhoni’s cricket career
Dhoni led the Indian cricket team to several victories in international cricket tournaments during his tenure as captain. He won the ICC T20 World Cup in 2007, ICC World Cup 2011, and the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013, becoming the only captain in history to win all three ICC major titles as skipper. He retired from national duty back in 2020, but the 40-year-old continues to go strong for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
