Chris Gayle won the Orange Cap twice, in 2011 and 2012, playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore. In 2020, KL Rahul won the Orange Cap playing for Kings XI Punjab. He scored 670 runs in 14 matches with an average of 55.83. In 2021, Ruturaj Gaikwad won the Orange Cap playing for Chennai Super Kings. He scored 635 runs in 16 matches with an average of 45.36.
