Curran had previously played for Chennai Super Kings in the 2020 and 2021 seasons, and was signed by Punjab Kings for INR 7.2 crore in 2019. Over 32 games in three seasons, Curran has scored 337 runs at a strike rate of 149.78 and taken 32 wickets at an economy of 9.21.
