In an effort to strengthen their squad, KKR made some strategic trades. They acquired bowling all-rounder Shardul Thakur from the Delhi Capitals, New Zealand pacer Lockie Ferguson, and Afghan wicketkeeper-batsman Rahmanullah Gurbaz from the Gujarat Titans.

Next, they secured Shakib Al Hasan for INR 1.5 crore, one of the best all-rounders in the world, who had previously played for KKR and helped them win the IPL in 2012 and 2014. Finally, KKR bought Mandeep Singh for INR 50 lakh, a seasoned campaigner in the Indian domestic circuit who has also played for the national team. His ability to anchor the innings and hit big shots made him a valuable addition to the team’s middle order.
