IPL Trade Window 2023
In this blog, we’ll analyze IPL Trade Window 2023 and all the traded players for IPL 2023.
KKR Trade-ins: Shardul Thakur, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, and Lockie Ferguson
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) made three significant trades this year, acquiring the services of Shardul Thakur, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, and Lockie Ferguson. Shardul Thakur was traded in from Delhi Capitals (DC) for INR 7.2 crores. Thakur is a proven performer in the IPL, with 56 wickets in 56 matches at an economy rate of 8.93. He will provide the much-needed experience and depth to KKR’s bowling attack, which has been a weak point in recent seasons.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz is another exciting addition to KKR’s squad. The wicket-keeper batsman from Afghanistan was traded in from Gujarat Titans (GT) for INR 6 crores. Gurbaz is a talented youngster who has already made a name for himself in T20 cricket. He has a strike rate of 141.62 in T20s and can provide a much-needed boost to KKR’s middle order.
Lockie Ferguson, the New Zealand pacer, was also traded in from GT for INR 4.4 crores. Ferguson has been a consistent performer in the IPL, with 22 wickets in 17 matches at an economy rate of 7.46. He can bowl at a lively pace and is an excellent addition to KKR’s bowling attack.

DC Trade-ins: Aman Khan
Delhi Capitals (DC) made one trade this year, acquiring Aman Khan from KKR for INR 1.5 crores. Aman Khan is a left-arm pacer who has been a part of the KKR setup for a few years. He has played only one match in the IPL, but his domestic record is impressive. Khan has taken 14 wickets in 11 matches at an economy rate of 7.87. He will provide depth to DC’s bowling attack and can be a handy option in the middle overs.
MI Trade-ins: Jason Behrendorff
Mumbai Indians (MI) made only one trade this year, bringing in Australian pacer Jason Behrendorff from Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for INR 2 crores. Behrendorff is a left-arm fast bowler who has represented Australia in T20Is. He has played only 11 IPL matches so far, taking five wickets at an economy rate of 8.68. Behrendorff will provide MI with a much-needed left-arm option in their bowling attack, which has been heavily reliant on Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult.
