Axar’s numbers in IPL 2022 were a little disappointing, with just 6 wickets in 13 games, but he still managed to hold his economy rate to under 7.5 runs per over. He will be looking to bounce back in IPL 2023 and make a bigger impact with both bat and ball.
Axar’s all-round skills have been a valuable addition to the Delhi Capitals. He has provided stability with his economical spin-bowling and has contributed with the bat when required. Axar’s success in Test cricket for India in 2021, where he scalped 27 wickets in just 3 Tests against England, has only boosted his confidence and reputation.
