IPL New Schedule: Final dates for IPL 2021 to be announced soon: The Board of Cricket Council of India (BCCI) recently announced that Phase 2 of IPL 2021 will be contested in the UAE. Although there are plenty of speculations and reports that state the second half should kick off around mid-September, the official dates are yet to be announced.
One of the key reasons why the BCCI haven’t put in a schedule yet is due to the clashing dates with the Caribbean Premier League. The CPL 2021 is to begin from August 28th to September 19th, but with the BCCI wanting to conduct remaining fixtures from September 17, they will hand in a request to advance the CPL by at least 10 days.
IPL New Schedule: BCCI to have a word with Cricket West Indies and the rest
There were also talks of international cricketers from New Zealand and England, who were unlikely to be involved in IPL Phase 2 as a result of the packed international schedule. However, the BCCI will have a word with all the cricketing boards, as well as Cricket West Indies regarding CPL 2021
“We will speak to all the boards about the availability of their players. We will also speak to Cricket West Indies, we always had a great relationship with everyone and we are confident some solution will come out in the next few days”, said an official from the BCCI recently.
