IND vs ENG Stats : India defeated England by 10 wickets on the second day of third Test at Motera Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and took a lead of 2-1 in the series. On the second day of Test India resumed their first innings of 99/3. Spinner Jack Leach didn’t take much time and removed well settled Rohit Sharma for 66 and Ajinkya Rahane for 7 runs and then captain Joe Root came to bowl and he just destroyed Indian batting line up and took 5 wickets for just 8 runs and India were bowled out for just 145 runs with a lead of 33 runs. In the second innings Axar Patel started the innings with 2 wickets and along with R Ashwin kept England batsmen to backfoot and against their top quality spin bowling on a tough pitch England batsmen were clueless and whole team bowled out for just 81 runs and set the target of just 49 runs which Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill achieved without any loss.
