Harmanpreet Kaur, born on 8 March 1989 in Moga, Punjab, India, is a renowned professional Indian cricketer who has made significant contributions to women’s cricket. Known for her explosive batting style and right-arm offbreak bowling, Kaur is considered an all-rounder in the Indian women’s cricket team. Born to Harmandar Singh Bhullar, a former basketball and volleyball player, Kaur developed a passion for cricket after joining the Gian Jyoti School Academy, where she received training from coach Kamaldeesh Singh Sodhi. At the young age of 20, Kaur made her debut in One Day Internationals against Pakistan in March 2009 during the Women’s Cricket World Cup. In that match, she bowled four overs and conceded just 10 runs, showcasing her bowling prowess.

In June 2009, Kaur made her T20 debut against England in the 2009 ICC Women’s World Twenty20, contributing eight runs off seven balls. However, it was in a T20 International game against England in Mumbai in 2010 that she truly displayed her exceptional ability to hit the ball with immense power. In that match, she scored a lightning-quick 33 runs, establishing her reputation as a formidable batsman.
