Along with the Ranji Trophy win, Vidarbha also booked a spot against Rest of India for the Irani Cup 2019. The BCCI has named a 15-man squad for the Irani Cup which will be led by test vice-skipper Ajinkya Rahane. The squad consists of a couple of international players along with some local talent picked after impressive Ranji season.

Mayank Agarwal, Hanuma Vihari, Shreyas Iyer, K Gowtham and Ishan Kishan are some of the big names in the squad along with skipper Ajinkya Rahane while Saurashtra wicketkeeper-batter Snell Patel and left-arm spinner Dharmendra Jadeja have been roped in on the back of stellar show in the Ranji Trophy.
