With a decent all-round performance from Arjun Tenduklar, Aakash Tigers demolished Triumph Knights by five wickets in the initiating match of the T20 Mumbai League. Aakash Tigers managed to restrict Triumph Knights at 147 for 6 which they successfully chased in 19.3 overs.
Suryakumar Yadav, captain of the Knights tried his best with his unbroken 90 off 56 balls but the team could not defend the score against Aakarshit Gomel and Kaustubh Pawar’s powerful start for the Tigers at 67 runs.
In the second match of the league, SoBo Supersonics defeated ARCS Andheri by 48 runs. The Supersonics were able to score an impressive 188/5 with the help of their batsman Parag Khanapurkar’s 96 off 46 balls performance. Supersonics easily stopped ARCS at 140/9 in 20 overs.

- Rohan Raje is the clear-cut bowler choice from Supersonics. Having an economy of only 2.67 and 2 wickets to his name in only 3 overs. He also managed to score a decent 18 runs from 6 balls with the bat
- A lot was expected from Jay Bista since he has been in form for the past few months. While his showing in the last game wasn’t too outstanding he did fairly well and should be a good pick.
- Right-arm medium bowler Badre Alam started his T20 Mumbai season with 2 wickets in 4 overs. While his economy was high (10.50), he should be able to grab a couple more wickets in this match.
- The top two choices as batsmen are Suryakumar Yadav and Parag Khanapurkar. Both these players scored 90+ for their respective teams and Yadav went as far as to finish the innings not out.
- Hersh Tank was putting up good numbers for the Supersonics with a strike rate of 187.50 before he was run out. Expect him to continue with this form for the next game.
- Kalpesh Sawant and Deepak Shetty were looking sharp with the ball having taken one wicket each and not conceding too many runs. They should be able to step it up next game.
