Somerset vs Nottinghamshire 1st Semi-final Match Preview | Who Will Win Today Match

Nottingham, May 12, Sunday at 03:30 PM IST

Nottinghamshire Outlaws will lock horns with Somerset in the Royal One Day Cup Semi-final 1 on Sunday. The clash is scheduled to be played at Trent Bridge, Nottingham and the coin will be tossed at 03:00 PM IST.

Riding on Tom Banton’s 112, Somerset posted 337-8 on the scoreboard against Worcestershire and booked them at mere 190 runs in 38 overs on the back of Azhar Ali’s  5-34. The right arm leg-break from Pakistan dwindled Worcestershire’s middle and lower order with his turns. With an eye on the final spot, Somerset will be hoping to deliver another complete performance with the bat and ball.

Notts Outlaws, on the opposite,  finished on the top spot in North Group with a narrow 1 wicket win over Northamptonshire after chasing 326 runs on the board. The Outlaws were in danger of falling well short of their target and were reduced to 314-9 when Tom Moores’ 69 and Samit Patel’s unbeaten 136 did the job for the side with three balls remaining. They will be looking to draw on all the experience they have their side to get through the crucial crunch.
