At the end of 48 overs, Sri Lanka managed 218-9, falling short by 7 runs.

While this is a must-win game for the visitors to stay alive in the contest, the hosts would be pretty confident about another win with the kind of form skipper Dane van Niekerk is playing on.

Earlier, South Africa clean swept the visitors by 3-0 in T20Is and are up for ODI series win also. Both the teams will reload at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom tomorrow noon for the second ODI.
