SL vs ENG Dream11: After a dramatic first test, England are ready to take on hosts Sri Lanka for the second and final test of the series. Sri Lanka will be disappointed with the way they lost the last game in the conditions more suited to them than the tourists. They have released 5 players from the bio-bubble for different reasons. Skipper Karunaratne will be unavailable so the pressure comes upon Dinesh Chandimal to lead the team from the front. Mathews’ experience in the middle ord will be key for the hosts. The bowling plan seems to be the same for SL as they are likely to go with three spinners with Asitha Fernando as the only fast bowler. The first innings in the last match was something that cost SL the match and they will look to improve upon that.
England though, are looking a confident team which has won 4 consecutive overseas tests and are looking for the fifth one. They have the quality batsmen in the lineup who can tackle these conditions and can counter the spinners. Root, Bairstow and newcomer Lawrence all of them were impressive in the first match and that ensures the middle order is on good hands. The performance of fast bowlers was particularly impressive with Broad threatening to take wickets almost every time he came to bowl. Spinners bowled with great heart and are expected to remain unchanged. With WTC finals race getting tight, England need a win here ahead of an important series against India.
