14 teams are set to fight it out in UAE for a place in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020 in Australia next year. A total of six places are up to be booked and the teams have been divided into two groups of seven.
Group A & B –
Group A comprises of Scotland, Papua New Guinea, the Netherlands, Singapore, Namibia, Kenya and Bermuda.
Group B comprises of the hosts UAE, Hong Kong, Oman, Ireland, Canada, Jersey and Nigeria.
Opening fixture-
The tournament opener will be played tomorrow morning at ICC Academy, Dubai between Scotland and Singapore. Scotland is the highest-ranked side, at No.11 and will look to continue the dominance from game 1.
This is for the first time Singapore has made it into the  ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier and will look draw in the confidence from their current run. Their current run has been outstanding – finished at the top the table in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia Regional Finals Qualifier and were undefeated in the Asia Region Qualifier B.
