ENG vs SA Dream11 Prediction | South Africa vs England Match Preview | Fantasy Team & Team News
The first official match for the trophy of the ICC World Cup 2019 will be played between South Africa and England at the Oval. England is currently the top team in the ODI rankings and are the favorites coming into this tournament with a very well balanced batting line-up. Even though they didn’t have their captain in the first warmup match, they came close to defeating Australia. In the second warmup, they demolished Afghanistan, winning by 9 wickets.
The South African camp, on the other hand, has not looked promising. Every World Cup, South Africa has been one of the favorites but this year, no one is expecting them to go deep in this tournament. Their batting lineup doesn’t have the firepower to score big but their bowling is where they shine. South Africa’s bowlers have been notorious in the past, courtesy of players like Dale Steyn and Lungi Ngidi, but that will also suffer at least for the first match as Dale Steyn will be sitting this one out due to injury.
Regardless, the match should be fun to watch and will start off the 2019 ICC World Cup with a bang!

ENG vs SA Dream11 Fantasy Team
- Joe Root has been performing very well in the ODI format, especially against South Africa. In 9 matches against SA, Root has scored a total of 477 runs, including 2 centuries and one half-century. He is the ideal choice for the captain of the team.
- Faf du Plessis is another who is primed to shine. Against Sri Lanka in the recent series, SA skipper racked up 272 runs in 5 innings, hitting a 112* from 114 balls.
- Jos Buttler is the ace batsmen for the English. The man has shown to strike almost any ball. He hit a century against Pakistan while scoring a total of 144 in 3 innings.
- Hashim Amla, one of the decade’s best batsmen, has recently returned back into form. The veteran is 90 runs away from scoring 8,000 total ODI runs. Hopefully, he is able to deliver for his team in the World Cup.
- Currently, on his way to his 200th ODI, Eoin Morgan will look to take England to their maiden World Cup victory. He has done well in the past couple of matches, going not out in 2 out of 3 innings and scoring a total of 164 in them.
- In the absence of Dale Steyn, Kagiso Rabada will have to step up as the lead pacer of the team. He has so far picked up 13 wickets in 2019, from 9 innings with a progressive economy of 4.85.
- Jofra Archer looked stunning in the match against Afghanistan, grabbing 3 wickets, one of which was the last wicket of the match. He did so in only 5.4 overs while giving away 32 runs.
