RCB vs CSK Playerzpot Prediction IPL Preview, Team News, Playing 11
The cricket extravaganza IPL is back with its twelfth edition and defending champions Chennai Super Kings will be taking on the Royal Challengers Bangalore for the opening clash of the season. Royal Challengers Bangalore have always been one of the most talked-about teams of the tournaments but they are yet to win a title. CSK, on the other hand, scripted a fairy tale comeback last year when they went on to win the title for the record third time.

Ahead of this season, RCB has added more quality to their side in the form of Shimron Hetmyer, Marcus Stoinis and India batsman Shivam Dube. Along with the new recruits, RCB boasts of the likes of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers who are proven match-winners for the side. Chennai Super Kings’ Ambati Rayudu and Ravindra Jadeja will be keen to perform well in this edition of IPL to present a strong case for their inclusion in the World Cup squad. CSK enjoy an impressive record against RCB- they have won 15 matches and lost seven with one no-result. The hosts haven’t lost to its rival since 2014. Although the statistics present the Chennai Super Kings as the stronger side on paper, RCB has arguably one of the most star-studded sides of the tournament with players who can turn the match in their favour, by their side.

Fantasy Picks Chennai Super Kings
- Mahendra Singh Dhoni is a good fantasy pick for the opening clash. He enjoyed a purple patch last year and he would look forward to continuing his form this year as well. He scored 455 runs at a strike rate of over 150 in the last edition of the tournament.
- Sane Watson has performed well in the recent T20 leagues and he will be a force to reckon in this tournament too. He was the second-highest scorer last year with 555 runs under his belt.
Fantasy Picks Royal Challengers Bangalore
- When it comes to building a fantasy team, Virat Kohli cannot be given a miss. He has remained one of the most consistent performers of the tournament and he would want to help his team ride big stacks of victory when RCB takes on CSK for the first encounter.
- AB de Villiers is one of the most explosive batsmen in the world. He scored 282 runs in 10 matches in the recently concluded Mzansi Super League and he would be looking forward to continuing his form in the Indian Premier League as well.
- Yuzvendra Chahal and Umesh Yadav are also good fantasy picks.
