Wellington Firebirds surpassed the 237 runs target set by Auckland Aces in the preliminary final with the help of unbeaten 120 from James Neesham. Firebirds chased down the target with three wickets remaining and eleven balls to spare. Earlier, Ollie Newton bagged five wickets and was instrumental in restricting Auckland to a getable target of 237 runs.  

Meanwhile, Otago Volts were the first side to advance directly to finals after finishing at top of the points table. Otago Volts secured seven wins out of ten games to secure the top spot.
