Chester-le-Street, April 17, Wednesday at 03:30 PM IST
The Royal London One Day Cup is back. The English white-ball domestic tournament begins on April 17, Wednesday with Durham squaring off against Northamptonshire in the North Group.
The tournament features 18 counties divided into two groups – North Group and South Group. The teams will play eight matches in total (4 home and 4 away) and the top three sides will advance into the knock-out stages. The final of the tournament will be played at the iconic Lord’s, London on May 25, Saturday.
Zimbabwean Blessing Muzarabani and Windies skipper Jason Holder have joined The Northants Steelbacks as their new signing this year. The side also boasts big-hitters like Adam Rossington and Josh Cobb in their ranks. On the opposite, Durham will be missing out the services of Paul Collingwood and Barry McCarthy as the duo has taken retirement. However, the new-signings Cameron Bancroft and D Arcy Short will strengthen the side with their presence.
