This will be the second fixture of Group B in the Super League stage in which both the sides will be eyeing to finish at the top. The winners from both the groups- Super League Group A and Group B will lock horns in the final scheduled to be played at the Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore on March 14, Thursday.

A Rahane unavailable for Super League stage

Ahead of the Super League stage, Mumbai faced a big blow when Ajinkya Rahane declared unfit for the tournament. The skipper played along with niggles in the group stage and now requires complete rest for full recovery, said Mumbai’s chairman of selectors, Ajit Agarkar.

Although A Rahane (58 runs in 6 games) was struggling with the average just under 10 in six matches, this comes as a big blow for Mumbai and now Prithvi Shaw, Shreyas Iyer, Surya Kumar Yadav and S Lad will have to share the added responsibility.

Karnataka unbeaten so far 

Group D table-topper Karnataka will enter in the Super League stage on the back of seven wins in seven encounters. After starting their campaign with 15 runs win against Assam, Karnataka went on register wins against each of their group members. Skipper Manish Pandey, Rohan Kadam and Karun Nair are the pillars in the batting line up while Shreyas Gopal, V Koushik and R Vinay Kumar have taken up the charge with the ball.

It will be interesting to watch both the sides, come face to face against each other at Indore tomorrow.
