The ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2018 is in its second phase and India U23 will be taking on Pakistan U23 to secure a spot in the final scheduled on Saturday. The clash will begin at 09:45 AM tomorrow at Colombo Cricket Club Ground, Colombo.

India, placed along with Sri Lanka, Oman and Afghanistan in Group A, remained unbeaten in the group stage and ended at the top with 6 points. Led by Jayant Yadav, India started their journey with 74 runs win over Afghanistan and went on to secure a spot in semi-finals after registering a convincing 6 wickets win over Oman in the second fixture.

Pakistan advanced to the second round in their second fixture only. Two one-sided wins against Afghanistan by 225 runs and Oman by 9 wickets sealed a spot for them in the semi-finals. The last encounter against Bangladesh was not more than a dead-rubber for them which they lost by 84 runs. Although a few key players including S Farhan and M Ilyas were rested, it was a must-win game for Bangladesh and they did the job well.
