While all the eyes were on Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli in the first assignment of team India past CWC 2019, it was debutant Navdeep Saini who stole all the limelight at Lauderhill yesterday in the 4 wickets win over Windies in the first T20I.

Navdeep Saini took three wickets for 17 runs in his four overs spell, including a wicket maiden to announce himself in the T20I cricket. Apart from N Saini, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar returned for two wickets while W Sundar, K Pandya, K Ahmed and R Jadeja accounted for one wicket each to leave Windies languishing at 95-9 in the first innings, not to forget K Pollard’s run-a-ball 49.

It was expected to be an easy chase for India but two wickets each from Sheldon Cottrell, Sunil Narine and Keemo Paul kept the game alive till 18th over when Washington Sundar hit the winning six.

Had it been a 120-130 runs target, things could have been on the different side. Both the sides will have this thing in their mind when they reload tonight for the second T20I.
