Batting first in the second ODI at Bay Oval, India had a decent start and both the openers added 154 runs for the first wicket. In the end, it was Kedar Jadhav’s blistering 22* off 10 balls and MS Dhoni’s unbeaten 48 of 33 that helped India post a massive 324-4 on the board.

Coming to chase, New Zealand looked well on the chase-line when skipper Kane Williamson accumulated 18 of 4 balls with two huge sixes off M Shami but on the very next ball the seamer sent back Kane Williamson back to the dugout and New Zealand’s were on the backfoot with 51-2. The similar story followed when the wrist spinners came into the picture and New Zealand kept losing wickets at regular intervals, eventually falling short by 90 runs.
