IND vs NZ Dream11 Match Prediction | Who Will Win Today’s Match
Wellington, February 06 at 12:30 PM IST
The Men in Blue and Kiwis will now focus on the three-match T20I series after the five-match ODI series went in the favour of India by 4-1. India convincingly sealed the series by 3-0 and looked a bit jittery in the fourth and fifth encounter.
In the fourth ODI, the visitors faced eight wickets loss after being bowled out for a paltry 92 runs. The script looked similar in the last ODI also one time when the visitors were reduced to 18-4 but the middle order – Ambati Rayudu, Vijay Shankar, Hardik Pandya and Kedar Jadhav resurrected the innings to steer the side to a good total of 252. In response, Kiwis could only manage 217 in 44.1 overs and fell short by 35 runs.
The three-match T20I series begins tomorrow at the same venue Westpac Stadium, Wellington, followed by the second match on February 8 at Auckland’s Eden Park and the final game on February 10 at Seddon Park, Hamilton.
The Men in Blue will be without their regular skipper Virat Kohli and pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah. Rohit Sharma will lead the side in Kohli’s absence while Bhuvaneshwar Kumar will pair up with Kheel Ahmed and Siddarth Kaul to form the pace attack. Rishabh Pant and Krunal Pandya are the additions to the squad.
For visitors, Martin Guptill has been ruled out following a back injury and Jimmy Neesham has been roped into the squad. The 13-member squad also includes a newcomer Daryl Mitchell.
Pitch Report:
It is the same venue which was used in the 5th ODI. The Westpac Stadium in Wellington uses a drop-in pitch and will favour batsmen more. The wicket is expected to remain flat and a high scoring game can be witnessed.

Fantasy picks from India –
Both the openers Rohit Sharma & S Dhawan have scored two fifties in the ODI series and would be hoping to continue the good form.
After missing out T20I series against Australia, MS Dhoni is back in the side. And with the form, he has started the year, he can be crucial in the middle order.
Hardik Pandya has made a strong comeback after the suspension. His quickfire knock of 45 runs off just 22 balls helped the side post 250+ target on board in the final ODI.
Bhuvaneshwar picked 7 wickets with a good economy rate and will start the innings for India with the ball.
Kuldeep and Chahal have troubled the Kiwis batsmen with their mysterious turns and are most likely to continue in the similar fashion.
Doubtful: Siddarth Kaul and Khaleel Ahmed
Fantasy picks from New Zealand-
With both M Guptill and Henry Nicholls not in the T20I squad, one of Tim Simfiert or Kane Williamson will open with the Colin Munro.
All the three C Munro, Tim Siefert and Kane Williamson will have to provide a stable start so that Ross Taylor
Jimmy Neesham’s inclusion comes at a good time for the side. He is in a great form since his return and will play a crucial role in balancing the side. He looked quite dangerous in the last ODI against India before MS Dhoni sent him back to pavilion on 44 of 32 deliveries.
Fantasy tip: Trent Boult has been rested
