With a 2-0 lead in the five-match unofficial ODI series, India will look to gain an unassailable lead when both the teams will meet at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua on Tuesday for the third game.
Put into bat first, a 151 run opening stand between Ruturaj Gaikwad (85) and Shubhman Gill (62) gave India a terrific start but Romario Shepherd’s (4-36) helped Windies make a brilliant comeback as India A managed 255-8 in the first innings.
In reply, the hosts lost their first wicket in the second over and were soon reduced to 77-5. Raymon Riefer (71 of 105) helped Windies reach a respectable total of 177 and were eventually bowled out for 190 runs in 43.5 overs. Navdeep Saini returned with a five-wicket haul for India and was the pick of the bowler for India.
The third ODI will be played at the same venue tomorrow and will start at 07:30 PM IST.
