Dream11 CPL

With the tournament moving towards the business end, Barbados Tridents and Guyana Amazon Warriors still haven’t sealed a semi-final spot yet. A loss for the Tridents might end their hope of defending the title, while Guyana Amazon Warriors will look to build on the momentum after a Nicholas Pooran inspired victory against the Patriots. This match will commence the third and final leg of the tournament for both teams with the action shifting back to Tarouba.

CPL 2020 has been a mixed season for Guyana Amazon Warriors so far with 3 wins and 4 losses. Their batting hasn’t clicked as a unit and has mostly relied on individual brilliance from Hetmyer and Pooran but their bowling unit has been good especially with their spinners Tahir, Green, Nedd and Sinclair performing consistently. If the tracks in Tarouba perform the same way as it did in the 1st leg then expect Guyana’s spinners to dominate once again. After the victory against the Patriots, GAW might go unchanged for this match.

Nothing has gone right for Barbados Tridents in the current edition of the CPL. The 2019 Champions are at the risk of getting knocked out of the tournament if they fail to win all their remaining league games. They endured one of their worst losses against the St Lucia Zouks in their last game after failing to chase down a meagre 93 runs target. Despite having a decent batting unit and some good spinners in their team, Tridents haven’t performed well mostly due to their questionable tactics. Regarding the team selection, Tridents might look at replacing the misfiring C Anderson with J Carter and if fit Santner would replace the young J Bishop.

Pitch report

Expect the run-scoring charts to go up with the tournament shifting back to Tarouba. A total of 140 has been the par score in Tarouba this tournament with some assistance for spin bowlers. Batting should be a lot easier compared to Port-Of-Spain. Weather forecast is clear for the day and there are little to no chances of rain.

GUY vs BAR Dream11 Prediction

Possible GUY Playing 11 – B King, K Sinclair, S Hetmyer, R Taylor, N Pooran(WK), K Paul, C Green(C), R Shepherd, Naveen-ul-Haq, I Tahir, A Nedd

S Hetmyer – Hetmyer’s form with the bat has tapered off after the twin fifties at the start of the tournament. With the tournament shifting back to Tarouba, he’ll hope to regain his form.

N Pooran – He displayed his aggressive six-hitting skills by hitting 10 sixes against the Patriots side en route to his maiden T20 hundred. With no effective pacer to disrupt him and batting at his most suited No.4 spot, expect him to deliver with the bat once again.

Ross Taylor – He has been useful with the bat for Warriors with his 20s and 30s. A big score is right around the corner and expect it against this confused Tridents side.

I Tahir – With 11 wickets from 7 matches, Tahir is the highest wicket-taker for Warriors this season.

Possible BAR Playing 11 – J Charles, S Hope (WK), K Mayers, J Holder (C), CJ Anderson/J Carter, A Nurse, Rashid Khan, R Reifer, N Young, H Walsh Jnr, J Bishop/M Santner.

J Charles – He has been exceptional for the Tridents this year with 204 runs from 7 matches at 29.14 scoring quickly in the Powerplay.

J Holder – He provides all-round value with the bat and some wickets in the Powerplay. Even though his batting numbers have dropped, it should be sorted out with the change of venues.

Rashid Khan – Hasn’t been at his best this season with just 9 wickets from 7 matches but can’t rule an extraordinary spell from him.

K Mayers – A revelation for Tridents this season with the bat scoring 205 runs from 7 matches at 29.28. His form will be crucial for Tridents to qualify for the semis.

GUY vs BAR Dream11 Team Captain, Differential Picks

The wickets should be fresh considering the break and loading your team with batsmen would be ideal. Include wrist-spinners rather than the finger-spinners due to the fresh strip. Even if you consider going in with a finger-spinner, pick those who provide all-round value with the bat.

Captaincy Picks – J Holder can be a prime pick due to his abilities with the ball and the value he provides with his batting against the spinners. Pick batsman who is capable of scoring big like Hetmyer, Pooran, Charles and Mayers.

Differential Picks

K Sinclair – He impressed everyone with his off-spin in the last match. Considering his recent promotion to opening, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to punt on him.

S Hope – Patchy with the bat throughout this season but with some improved batting conditions in Tarouba, there’s a slight chance for him to come good with the bat.
