Having opted to bat first in the first T20I, Sri Lanka Women were bowled out for 94 runs in 19 overs. Barring, I Mendis (14), H Karunaratne (19) and O Ranasinghe (20*) nobody else managed to score in double digits. Linsey Smith was the pick of bowlers for visitors, finishing at 3-18. Freya Davies and Anya Shrubsole shared two wickets each.

In reply, England Women chased down the target in 14.2 overs with 8 wickets in hand, Tammy Beaumont’s unbeaten fifty.
