R Van der Dussen blasted 96* off 44 balls while Daniel Christian struck unbeaten 52 off just 19 deliveries.

Coming to chase, Spartans middle order fell like a pack of cards in front of Man of the match Nono Pongolo – 6 wickets of just 20 runs in a spell of four overs. Spartans were booked for 138 in 17.2 overs and fell short of 101 runs.

When both the teams met at Durban for the first encounter, Heat turned out to be the winner by 10 runs under the DLS method. Put into bat first, Tshwane Spartans managed 139-9 with the help of Gihahn Cloete’s 55 of 43 deliveries at the top. 

In response, Durban Heat were 129-6 in 16.3 overs when the rain came into play and Heat were announced as the winner under DLS method by 10 runs.
