Kolkata Knight Riders are hard to outplay at their backyard in Eden Gardens and with the kind of playing11 they sported in the first game, it will be really a tough challenge for Kings XI Punjab. Although they are missing out a bit in the pace attack, they have one of the strongest batting line-ups this season.
C Gayle fireworks, Ashwin mankading Buttler
Kings XI Punjab pulled out 14 runs win over Rajasthan Royals at their fortress- Swai Man Singh Stadium to kick-start their campaign. The win would have surely boosted their confidence and will acts as a prerequisite as they are now travelling to Eden Gardens- the den of Kolkata.
Chris Gayle (79 of 47) and Sarfaraz Khan (46* of 29) helped Punjab post 184 runs total on the board which was appreciated well by the bowlers as they restricted the hosts at 170-9 in 0 overs. R Ashwin, Sam Curran and Mujeeb Ur Rahman picked two wickets each.
