Matches are listed in abundance on Dream11 and it’s hard to be consistent, and impossible to be an all-weather player. It’s your money and you should calculate risks before putting it into a match or a league. Choosing a match, you are not sure about, or when the players seem from an alien world, for the sake of playing, can endanger your chances of a positive return. A little help and preparations can go a long way.
Here we have hand-picked some matches you can play on Dream11 this week. You can gauge a team’s form and players’ stats to build your team with more confidence and authority.
Game 1: Adelaide Strikers vs Perth Scorchers
Form:
Strikers: Won three of the last four games; two while batting first and chased their way to the victory in the other game.
Scorchers: They are the worst team in the BBL at the moment; no win in four games and continue to prop up the power rankings ahead of STR vs SCO Dream11 Prediction Match.
Possible Combination: 7-4 in favour of Strikers or 6-5, but avoid taking more players from the Scorchers team. Strikers ripped through Scorchers in the last game, beating them by a whopping 71-run margin, despite Strikers making only 165 runs in the 1st inning.
Scorchers:
Mitchell Marsh: Though he failed with the bat in the last game, he did his bit with the ball with two wickets. The Australian all-rounder offers assurances due to his two-way skills.
Jhye Richardson: Arguably one of the most consistent T20 bowlers in the BBL. He picked up three wickets against the Strikers in his last outing.
Jason Roy: A bit inconsistent at the moment, but the Englishman can throw his bat around with an imperious authority.
Strikers:
Phil Salt: Set the tone for the Strikers with a brisk half-century in the last game, with 40 of those runs coming in boundaries. He was too hot at the top.
Rashid Khan: Strikers are getting the best out of him with the bat, and add his upright spectacular bowling skills, we know, he is a match-winner.
Alex Carey: You have to go with one wicket-keeper and out of the two, Carey seems a better option due to the form he is in.
How Much To Invest In This Match:
Play around Strikers’ game. They are likely to win this match. But the grand league is all about taking risks. Make one-or-two teams with more players from Scorchers but the mine leagues and head-to-head games should be built around Strikers’ squad.
Game 2: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa vs Central Punjab
Form:
Pakhtunkhwa: They are at the top of the power rankings in Quaid-e-Azam trophy 2020 but had to contend with the draws in the last two games.
Central Punjab: In decent form. Confidence must be high in the team after they made a short work of Southern Punjab in the last match.
Possible Combination: Considering this is a test match, all the players from either team will get a chance either with the bat or ball. So a 6-5 combination seems like a better tactic in this game.
Pakhtunkhwa:
Rehan Afridi: Pakhtunkhwa’s 28-year-old wicket-keeper seems a better option for this position. He also hit a century in the 1st inning against Northern in the last test match.
Israrullah: An aggressive batsman who loves to play hos shots. Scored a century against Northern. He can make a telling difference in KHP vs CEP Today Match Prediction.
Sajid Khan: Picked up a combined six wickets in two innings against the Northern.
Khalid Usman: He is the captain in the team and offers value due to his unique all-round skills. He chipped in with six wickets and made crucial runs in the middle-order.
Kamran Ghulam: Won man-of-the-match in the last game for Khyber after scoring a century and a half-century in the 1st and 2nd inning respectively.
Central Punjab:
Usman Salahuddin: Central Punjab’s captain was head-and-shoulders above the rest of the batsmen in the last match. He was a phenom with the bat after scoring 219 runs.
Hasan Ali: An international pedigree bowler. He can make even the best batsmen look plain average. More importantly, the six-wicket show in the last match shows that the 26-year-old is in good form.
Saad Nasim and Qasim Akram: The duo can bat and ball and is in good form as well.
How Much To Invest In This Match:
Both teams are strong with the bat. So go with more batsmen and choose captain in the same department if you are playing the mine leagues and head to head games.
Game 3: Melbourne Renegades vs Sydney Thunder
Form:
Renegades: The wheel has come off for the Renegades after losing the last four games. The seven-wicket win over the Scorchers in the first match seemed to have given the wrong impression about them.
Thunder: They are the total opposite of Thunder. For they lost the opening game, but turned their form around in a trice and come here on a four-game winning run.
Possible Combination: Considering both team’s form, Thunder are likely to get the win here. But your strategy should depend on whether Thunder bats 1st or second; four batsmen, including the wicket-keeper from Thunder if that’s the case in REN vs THU Dream11 Cricket match.
A 7-4 or 6-5 combination in favour of Thunder should do the trick in any case.
Renegades:
Shaun Marsh: Still going strong in the BBL. The 37-year-old topped the scoring charts in the last game with 67 runs.
Aaron Finch: Australia’s limited-over captain needs no introduction at all. He is one of the best batsmen in white-ball cricket. More importantly, he is in good touch and should be in your Dream11 fantasy cricket teams.
Mohammad Nabi: Afghanistan’s premium all-rounder is no fluke with both bat and ball. He is two-player rolled into one due to his all-round skills.
Kane Richardson: Was as miser as he can be with the ball against the Sixers, picking up two wickets as well.
Thunder:
Alex Hales: Rained sixes from his bat as Thunder stormed past Stars. Hales is worth the shot as captain in at least one grand league team.
Usman Khawaja: In good form but could do with a big inning here. Khawaja can put on a show with the bat.
Callum Ferguson: Thunder’s captain struck a 33-ball 50 in the last inning. He is hard to get out and on current form, looks a safer bet with the bat.
Chris Green: His four-wicket show in the last match stole the limelight from the batsmen in the end.
How Much To Invest In This Match:
Renegades are in trouble and investing more in them could be a risk. Small League competitions and head-to-head matches should be played while selecting more players from Thunder.
Game 4: South Africa vs Sri Lanka
Form:
South Africa: England pounded them in the T20 series, with the Three Lions sweeping them 0-3 in home conditions. But the Proteas saved their faces with an utterly dominant performance in the first test match against touring Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka: As mentioned, Sri Lanka looked plain average in the first test match. They are not known for travelling good, and you can expect another solid performance from the home team in SA vs SL Dream11 Prediction.
Possible Combination: If South Africa balls first, then three bowlers and a couple of allrounders from the home team should be a good tactic. Try to pick batsmen from Sri Lanka’s top-four.
South Africa:
Faf du Plessis: Came agonizingly close to a deserving double hundred after getting out on 199 runs. With no burden on captaincy, Plessis seems to be playing with more freedom.
Wiaan Mulder: A handy batsman down the order but his bowling is what makes him a no-nonsense option. He picked up five wickets in the last game.
Lutho Sipamla: Made all the right noise with the ball in the first test match. He ended up with six wickets.
Dean Elgar: Opener for South Africa and in good form. He made 95 runs in the last game.
Quinton de Kock: For the wicket-keeping position, he is the best option.
Sri Lanka:
Wanindu Hasaranga: Sri Lanka’s best player in the last game. He scored some runs and ended up with a team-high 4 wickets.
Dinesh Chandimal: One of the best batsmen for Sri Lanka at the moment. He was solid in the last game.
Kusal Perera: One of the few Sri Lanka players who took the fight to South Africa in the last match.
How Much To Invest In This Match:
Sri Lanka are so unpredictable, you never know what version they bring of themselves in this game. If the match is short, like the first test match, a lot of South African batsmen may not require to bat.
It’s a risky game indeed. We advise you to play safe here. Don’t invest big, but do play grand leagues and head-to-head games.
