Dhangadhi Premier League 2019- the third edition of Nepal’s T20 cricket league kickstarts tomorrow. The tournament opener is scheduled to be played tomorrow at Dhangadhi, Kailali, Nepal between Dhangadhi Stars vs Kathmandu Goldens.

DPL 2019 has been sanctioned by ICC and cricketers from Nepal and other international teams will be taking part in it. A total of six teams will be participating in this round robin tournament to secure a place in the playoffs. The final of the tournament will be played on February 23, Saturday at the same venue. The previous two titles have been won by Chauraha Dhangadhi and let’s watch who names it this season.

Tournament gets rescheduled

The Dhangadhi Premier League was scheduled to begin on Saturday with the clash between Dhangadhi Stars and Biratnagar Kings but the incessant rain has pushed the tournament to begin from Monday. two matches have been scheduled for the opener – Dhangadhi Stars vs Kathmandu Goldens and Rupandehi Challengers vs Mahendranagar United.

Two times champions Dhangadhi Stars will play under the leadership of Sompal Kami and will be eyeing hat-trick of title wins. Stars consist of  Rohan Mustafa and Sagar Trivedi as the two overseas players and have Raju Rijal, Amit Shrestha and Sagar Trivedi as their in-house talents.

Kathmandu Kings, on the other side, have Lalit Rajbanshi, Gyanendra Malla, and Anil Kumar Sah in their ranks and will play under the leadership of  Gyanendra Malla.
