Both the teams will lock horns at Eden Park, Outer Oval, Auckland on Saturday morning and will reload on February 15, Friday to lock horns in the preliminary finals.
Both Auckland with 24 points and Central Stags with 22 points are comfortably sitting at second and third position respectively and are sure shot participants in the preliminary final. Northern Knights with 28 points and a game to go are most likely to advance directly into finals. The final of the Super Smash 2019 edition will be played on Sunday, February 17, the venue for which is yet to be decided.

Both the teams first met at Pukekura Park, New Plymouth in the sixth fixture of the tournament in which Auckland Aces registered 5 wickets win while chasing a mere total of 107 runs on the board. Having opted to bowl first, Aces bundled out Central Stags for a paltry 107-10 in 17.1 overs. Finishing with 3-38, William Somerville was the pick of the bowlers for Auckland along with M Quinn, Lockie Ferguson and R Hira. All the three took two wickets each.
In reply, Martin Guptill’s unbeaten 71 of 51 deliveries guided the run chase.
