BLR vs KXIP Dream11 Prediction: 2019 IPL saw Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kings XI Punjab reside at the bottom half of the points table. But 2020 has had contrasting fortunes for both teams with RCB placed at the top half while KXIP finding themselves at the wrong half of the points table. Ironically, KXIP’s only victory this season came against RCB where KL Rahul scored the highest score this IPL with a scintillating 132* off 69 balls at Dubai. This is potentially a make or break contest for KXIP and a loss here will make their chances of getting into the playoffs almost impossible. While RCB would want to continue the momentum they’ve gained in the first half to get closer to the playoff spot.
Pitch Report
The decks at Sharjah have slowed down dramatically this season. From being a graveyard to bowlers, it has started to provide enough assistance for bowlers especially spinners to thrive. But despite the slowing down of pitches, the boundary size remains the same and there are still runs to be had. Dew has been a presence in all the matches at Sharjah this season and expect the same today.
BLR vs KXIP Dream 11 Prediction
Royal Challengers Bangalore – Dream11 Fantasy Order
Royal Challengers Bangalore feels like a much-settled side at this stage of the tournament which seems unusual due to their track record. The return of C Morris has completed their bowling unit with Sundar being almost unhittable and Chahal being at his usual best and the likes of Saini, Udana and Siraj providing great support. AB De Villiers is in top form which was evident from his knock against KKR and D Padikkal has been more than impressive in his first season. The one issue for them will be that their lower middle order is largely untested and will still remain that way with a weak KXIP bowling attack. They’re more likely to be unchanged after their victory against KKR.
RCB vs KXIP Dream11 Playing 11 –
RCB Playing 11 (probable):
D Padikkal
A Finch
V Kohli (C)
AB De Villiers (WK)
S Dube
W Sundar
C Morris
I Udana
N Saini
M Siraj
Y Chahal
Captaincy Picks –
D Padikkal – The young boy from Karnataka has set IPL on fire in his debut season with some great knocks to his name. With no imminent threats from the Kings XI Punjab pace attack and the presence of two leg-spinners in their bowling unit he’s in for a big score tonight. He is a good option in RCB vs KXIP Dream11 Prediction.
AB De Villiers – The pandemic or the lack of cricket hasn’t done anything to his skills as he has shown some exceptional form this season. His 73*(33) vs KKR at Sharjah showed what damage he can cause once he’s set. The presence of two leg-spinners can trouble him but trust him to overcome it and reap rewards against their pacers.
Note: Prefer ABD more if RCB bats first.
Vice-Captaincy Picks –
A Finch – Despite not being at his best this season, A Finch has managed 249 Dream11 fantasy points and today could be the day where he can unleash his own attacking self with a bowling attack that doesn’t have much in them to trouble him.
C Morris – He has played only two matches so far and yet managed to gain 169 points only from his bowling. His hit-the-deck nature of bowling troubles most of the KXIP batsman.
Differential Pick –
N Saini – The lanky fast bowler has bowled incredibly well this season but with no numbers to back his effort. He could get rewarded today with KXIP batsman’s weakness against his bowling type.
Kings XI Punjab – Dream11 Fantasy Order
Another year and another dismal performance for the Kings XI Punjab side despite appointing a new captain in KL Rahul and revamping the coaching setup. But their real issue started from the auction table with them spending a whole lot on Maxwell despite knowing their death bowling woes. Their batting has revolved between the trio of Rahul, Mayank and Pooran and their bowling has largely been ineffective except at the start when the pitches had enough grass for their new ball bowlers to exploit. The biggest news is C Gayle has recovered from the stomach bug and is all set to replace Mujeeb/Maxwell from the side. If Mujeeb doesn’t play it opens up a spot for M Ashwin who has largely been underused this season. The injury status of S Cottrell isn’t clear and it will mean either Jordan continues or they might look to bring in H Viljoen to the setup.
RCB vs KXIP Dream11 Playing 11 –
KXIP Playing 11 (probable)
KL Rahul (C)
C Gayle
M Agarwal
N Pooran (WK)
G Maxwell
M Singh
C Jordan
M Ashwin
M Shami
R Bishnoi
Arshdeep Singh
Captaincy Picks
KL Rahul – The Orange Cap holder has managed 538 Dream11 fantasy points so far despite him shedding the gloves in the last couple of matches. He’s been conservative with his batting approach which despite bad for KXIP is good for fantasy users.
M Agarwal – He’s just behind KL Rahul in the run-scorers list and has managed two fifties and a hundred this season. With Gayle coming into the side, it remains to be seen whether he stays at the top or drops down to NO.3 which will decide his fantasy potential.
Vice-Captaincy Picks –
N Pooran – His 77(37) against SRH showed glimpses of his potential. There’s the Morris and Saini threat for him to counter but the short boundaries at Sharjah could help him.
R Bishnoi – V Kohli and AB De Villiers troubles against leg-spin are well-known and Bishnoi could well exploit it with his deceptive googlies.
Differential Pick –
M Ashwin – In KXIP’s last fixture against RCB, he returned figures of 3/12 from 3 overs. It still remains to be seen whether he returns to the eleven and if he does, he’s a great differential.
BLR vs KXIP Dream11 Team Captain, Differential Picks
Team Composition Preferences –
1). All Rounders – Not much of quality in this category except for Sundar and Morris and limit the picks from this category to one.
2). Batsman – Top-order batsmen are the key here and use the fantasy order to make your choices.
3). Bowlers – Give high preference to legspinners and hit-the-deck bowlers.
4). Wicket-Keeper – Three quality options available here and going with all three won’t be a bad option either.
Having more RCB players in the BLR vs KXIP Today Match Prediction team is preferable.
