After a massive eight-wicket drubbing in the 1st T20I, Bangladesh came back strongly to level the series with 36 runs win over Windies in the second T20I. Alike the first T20I, Skipper Shakib Al Hasan was the hero for Bangladesh after stroking crucial unbeaten 42 of just 26 deliveries and delivering his career-best 5-21 with the ball. Now, both the sides will reload tomorrow at the same ground for the series decider.

In the second T20I, Windies opted to bowl after winning the toss. Coming to bat in the first innings, Tamim Iqbal and opener Liton Das (60 off 34) gave a good start to side with the latter moving on to score his second half-century laced with six fours and four sixes. However, Oshane Thoms and Sheldon Cottrell brought Windies back in the game with their variations and at a time Bangladesh was reduced to 120-4. But Shakib (42* of 26) and Mahmudullah (43* of 21) added another 91 runs in last 7 overs to give Bangladesh their second-highest T20 total in the day-night match – 211-4.

Coming to chase, Windies were in the game till 11th over but Shakib Al Hasan took three wickets in eight deliveries and WIndies were eventually bowled out for 175 in 19.2 overs. Shakib’s career-best has kept the hopes of winning all three series formats for Bangladesh alive. The hosts have already registered a 2-0 win in the Tests and a 2-1 win in the ODI series and if they succeed to clinch the T20I series too, it will be the first time the hosts will be winning all three series formats.
