Australia vs West Indies, 3rd T20I of West Indies tour of Australia 2024
13th February, 01:30 PM IST
Perth Stadium, Perth, Australia
AUS vs WI Preview
Australia already holds an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series, having emerged victorious in the 2nd T20I by a margin of 34 runs. They did it at Hobart, and they have done it again here in Adelaide. An even better batting performance as they set a competitive total of 241/4 in their 20 overs, driven by an 82-run partnership between Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis. Maxwell’s impressive 120-run knock was the highlight, supported by a valuable 31-run cameo from Tim David. Marcus Stoinis was the pick of the bowlers for Australia, taking three wickets. In response, West Indies suffered an early setback as their opener, Brandon King, was dismissed early by Josh Hazlewood. Rovman Powell batted bravely, scoring 63 runs off 36 balls, but got little support from the other end. Despite the skipper’s efforts, West Indies only managed 207/9 in 20 overs.
With the series already sealed, Australia might opt to experiment with their playing XI, giving opportunities to bench players. West Indies, on the other side, will draw positives from the last two matches and aim to stage a comeback in the 3rd T20I.

Perth Stadium Pitch Report
The pitch at Perth Stadium in Perth is well-balanced. We can expect a high-scoring match with pacers getting some assistance in early overs. If batters can survive through powerplay overs, then they have a good chance to score well.
