AUS vs IND Dream11 Prediction: Both India and Australia have travelled to Canberra with an aim to give their bench strength a go in the third and final match of the ODI series. Australia have been excellent led by their batting might but will have to adjust accordingly in the absence of David Warner and Pat Cummins. On the other hand, India had absolute nightmares in the field at Sydney. Their bowling attack composition will remain a talk before the toss. We will preview AUS vs IND Dream11 contest.
If you ever wanted a couple of identical cricket matches, this ODI series has dished out it in the first two encounters. Batting first, Australia were off to another cracking start with David Warner and Aaron Finch. Former was particularly hitting it from the middle while latter struggled for timing initially. Both fell in quick time before the genius of Steve Smith took center-stage at SCG. He was piercing the gaps in a way that we were all forced to believe that there were Indian fielders. If his almost identical century off 62 balls deflated India, Glenn Maxwell fireworks grounded them. Marnus Labuschagne played a perfect death overs foil to the Victorian as Australia set a mighty 390 for India to level the series.
In reply, Shikhar Dhawan and Mayank Agarwal again seemed to have kept India in the hunt but both departed inside powerplay to halt India. Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer made Indian boat sailing by just for a while. Skipper made an attractive 89 while KL Rahul contributed with his 76. Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja were left with too much to do in the last 10 overs as Australia registered the victory by 51 runs. Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins and Adam Zampa were again pick of the bowlers on the day.
In head-to-head comparisons, Australia do have dominant records against most countries in ODIs and their tally against India is no different with 80 wins compared to 52 of India. When both teams met at Canberra last time in 2016, India gifted a chase to the hosts in a stunning collapse under lights. Australia are yet to lose an ODI at this venue.
Pitch and Conditions
Canberra is arguably Australia’s flattest pitch combined with longer playing area. We are expecting another run-feast in the last match as well after what happened in Sydney. Teams would love to put a score on the board again after winning the toss. There were showers in Canberra on Tuesday but a clear day is expected on Wednesday.

- After two poor outings to start the tour, India will be aiming to find winning combination in ODI cricket.

Captain Picks
For Small Leagues
- Steve Smith would be the first name in either team sheets and he would be the first man in any of your fantasy teams as well. He eats, sleeps and scores centuries off 62 balls against this Indian attack. So, do you have any better options than him? Good luck.
- Adam Zampa was again among the wickets in the second game and can be trusted as captaincy option for this match. Leg-spinners are ODI cricket’s biggest assets in modern-day game. With 16 wickets from last 5 games, Adam Zampa has been in red-hot form.
- Virat Kohli is India’s big ticket limited overs player. After an uncharacteristic innings in the first match, we came to see Virat Kohli we know of. India were still very much in the game till Virat Kohli was there in his innings of 89 in the last match. With very limited opportunities in Australia for him on this tour, he would be looking to make most of his time.
For Grand Leagues
- Aaron Finch has enough fantasy potential in ODIs to hand him the captaincy at least in grand leagues. After a century in the first match, he made another 60 on Sunday. Yes, he struggled for a while but very few of his international innings would be fluent from ball one.
- Shikhar Dhawan is another great option if you are looking for a differential. After a productive IPL season, he began promisingly here as well. If he plays through the initial overs, he could become a perfect weapon to counter Adam Zampa.
Who will win AUS vs IND Today Match Prediction?
As per our Today Match Prediction, Australia will again start as favourites given their form and venue statistics. But the absence of David Warner can play a huge role in terms of Australia’s batting output. From Indian perspective, getting the bowling attack right even with one eye on upcoming T20 series should remain their main objective.
