After taking a 1-0 lead in the four matches test series, India will face off Australia at Perth Stadium, Perth from December 14-18 in the second test match.

Prithvi Shaw, who was the first choice opener for India in Tests, got ruled out of Adelaide test following an ankle injury and might take some more time before returning. The young lad is still not match-fit and KL Rahul and M Vijay will again be seen opening the innings for India in Perth as well.

So, the opening due of KL Rahul and Murali Vijay will have to produce significant knocks in Perth to prove their worth before the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne.  

Aussie frown over M Marsh

One of the two deputies of Tim Paine, Mitchell Marsh was axed from the Adelaide test following a series of flop show against Pakistan. In four outings against Pakistan, M Marsh managed just 30 runs with the bat. Now, after 31 runs defeat in Adelaide, let’s wait and watch if Aussie think tank considers including an all-rounder to ease out the four frontline bowlers or stick out to the same plan.

With 11 catches behind the wicket and handy 53 runs in two innings, Risabh Pant is a slightly better pick than Tim Paine in wicketkeeper. The Southpaw looked in good touch while sending the ball beyond the ropes and is likely to continue his fine form.
