MS Dhoni rested; a couple of changes on the card
India’s batting coach Sanjay Bangar on Friday confirmed that MS Dhoni will not be part of the last two ODIs India will be playing in Mohali and Delhi. He has been given rest with R Pant in line to do keeping duties. Along with this, KL Rahul is also in contention to replace Shikhar Dhawan at the top order. Dhawan’s form has been a cause of the headache for the selectors.
Bhuvaneshwar Kumar is also expected to feature in the final two ODIs ahead of the CWC 2019. He can come at the expense of M Shami if management wishes to test the duo of Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and J Bumrah.
Pitch Report & Venue Stats:
The Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali is a good wicket to bat on. targets of 180+ have been easily chased down at the surface in the past. So, expect another 280-310 total with little assistance to pacer early on.
