Afghanistan vs Scotland 2nd Match Preview | Afghanistan Tour of Scotland, 2019 | Who Will Win Today Match
The Grange Club, Edinburgh, May 10, Friday at 03:30 PM IST
After the first ODI between the two sides was called off due to persistent rain on Wednesday, it’s time for the second ODI to be played on Friday at the same ground. Both Afghanistan and Scotland will feature at Grange Cricket Club, Edinburgh on Friday noon for the second and final ODI which is slated to start at 03:30 PM IST at noon.
It was quite disappointing for both the sides when the first game was washed off. It not only delayed Afghanistan’s former captain Asghar Afghan’s 100th ODI but it also affected their practice for the Cricket World Cup 2019. The sole purpose of the series was to provide adequate practice to the players ahead of the big tournament. For the home side, it was a great opportunity to face off one of the quality international sides, who have really impressed the cricketing world with their recent rise.
back in 2016, Afghanistan secured 1-0 win in a rain-affected two-match series and will be looking to repeat the same. However, in the last meeting of both the teams, Scotland turned out to be victorious. Both the teams met at the Cricket World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe in March 2018 and Scotland turned out to be the winners by seven wickets.
While it looks like an evenly poised encounter, the mystery spin of Mujeeb Ur Rahman is expected to play a big impact in the clash. The duo of Rashid Khan and M Nabi are still doubtful and can provide a big boost to the side if feature.
The match will begin at 03:30 PM IST at noon.
